Nothing Time
“You have too much time on your hands!”
Ever heard that? Sounds like a funny quip, right?
It’s not. It’s a put down…pure and simple.
Look at the comment. The person stating it is really saying, “I would never waste my time doing something so ___________” (<—-you fill in the blank)
They are saying they do more valuable things with their time. Usually, it comes from someone that I can turn right around and ask, “hey, did you watch the Giants (Kings…49ers…whatever…Game of Thrones) game last night?”
….and they think I have too much time on my hands.
NOTHING you enjoy doing is EVER a waste of time. You were criticized when you were young that your singing, your drawing, your creative expression, your whatever……wasn’t good enough for the critic that gave you the rebuke.
You stopped doing what you enjoyed because of it.
